Trev was born into the RAF, and was brought up all over the world, following his Dad's postings. He lived in Germany, Swindon, Ballykelly (N.Ireland), Singapore, Liverpool, Yorkshire, Germany again, Buckinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and finally settled in Peterborough in 1992.
He has been married to Paula since 1994 and has two sons, Scott (7), and Steven (6).
There was no musical background in Trev's family, although some would say that is perfectly obvious! He once got into the junior school choir by singing "The Bare Necessities". However, Mr. Smirdon the music teacher was away at the time, and as soon as he returned, it was bye bye Trev!
Next time he got involved in music was when he used to watch his sister-in-law Rachael rehearsing with her band-High Octane. He soon joined the band singing backing vocals, and eventually took over as lead singer when Terry left the band. That is where he met Sean, he was playing guitar in High Octane.
The band dissolved when Rachael and Richard went off to university, and nothing much happened for several years.
Trev got involved with Karaoke soon after it arrived on the scene, and ran his own Karaoke company for about five years or so.
During this time, he got to know a certain young man who deserves a mention. Although this man has had no connection with Hooker, he has to be mentioned as the most entertaining, up-for-anything party animal this side of the Watford Gap! If ever you need a party to go with a swing, then Laurence "Loz" Watson is the man to call!Eventually Trev gave up the Karaoke and concentrated on the newly forming Hooker. ( See the Band History page).
Living life to the full, working hard, playing hard and sleeping very little....great fun and what more can a man ask for??? Well... there's the lottery...a villa in the Seychelles...a cruise round the world...endless sleep....etc, etc
Rob and Trev also appeared on TV, competing in Channel 4's Scrapheap Challenge. A show in which 2 teams have to build something out of scrap, and then use their invention to beat the others in a knockout competition. Click on the logo below to see how they got on....
